You and your household family members have access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) called GuidanceResources. It can help with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and marital conflicts, job pressures, and legal and financial concerns. Services are free, available 24/7 and completely confidential. You don’t have to be enrolled in MNPS insurance and you may begin using the EAP on your first day of active employment.

MySpineHealth bundle
Provided through Vanderbilt Health, this program “bundles” all the services needed for select spine surgeries, providing the fastest, most cost-effective treatment and recovery path for patients suffering from chronic back pain.*
Colon cancer prevention
Cologuard®
Early detection of colon cancer is critical. If you’re age 45 or older, you have several no-cost colon cancer screening options, including the noninvasive Cologuard test.*

Diabetes management
Diabetes and nutrition education
With a referral from your primary care provider or endocrinologist you and/pr your covered dependents with diabetes can see a certified diabetes educator for diabetes self-management education and/or medical nutrition therapy. Some network providers offer telehealth options, including Vanderbilt.
Diabetic eye exams
Diabetic eye exams are available at the MNPS Health Care Centers. Images are then reviewed by an ophthalmologist. If signs of retinopathy are found, we will contact you to discuss next steps. But this screening does not replace regular eye exams, provide a glasses/contacts prescription, or test for glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye). Call 615-259-8755 to make an appointment.

Telehealth with an endocrinologist
Patients can schedule a diabetes specialist telehealth visit with Vanderbilt Health’s Dr. Chanhaeng Rhee, Medical Director for the Eskind Adult Diabetes Clinic. Simply make an in-person appointment at one of the MNPS Health Care Centers. When you arrive, a nurse will check you in and help get your visit started with Dr. Rhee. If lab/blood work is ordered, it can be done while you’re in the clinic.

Weight Management Program
This program, offered through the MNPS Health Care Centers, is designed for people with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher who want to lose weight and pursue better health. Eligible enrollees receive 50% reimbursement of membership fees at an approved weight management program/organization.
